Wonderful children's story!

My mother read this to me in the 1950s when I was a child. I bought it for my children and grandchildren and now I own it so that I can read it to other people's children when they visit. This story, like everything that Robert McCloskey wrote, is beautifully told, with marvelous illustrations. The story features his eldest daughter and wife when picking blueberries in Maine. Every parent can identify with the feelings expressed.

開封して見た時に、思いがけず小型版であれっとは思ったが、中身は変わらずで良かったです。　ただ、６冊が揃って届くと思ってたので、１冊が不足なのはとてもとても残念！！

瓶詰め用のブルーベリーをとるためにやってきたSal(女の子の名前です)とお母さん．
冬眠に備えてブルーベリーを食べにきた子熊とお母さん熊．
でも，Salはお母さんとはぐれてしまい，子熊はお母さん熊とはぐれてしまいます．さて，どうなる？
Caldecott Honor受賞作品。
表情豊かな絵が良いです。Salは男の子に見えるけど。
英文の量は、4,5行×28程度。

We have this classic Maine book in paperback, but I recently bought it for a friend in hardcover and was wowed by the quality. It's a nice size for kids and parents to read together - not overly large like some of the other McCloskey hardcover versions. Great story for 3-6 year old age range and nostalgic for anyone millennial and older.

A lovely book with the charm of the olden days. Lovely illustrations as expected and a good quality paper! Would love to collect more in this genre! I love how this subtlely speaks of how we share resources with other creatures! A lesson we certainly we need to learn and teach the younger ones.
