I bought this (Julie) for a trip to Europe. I was looking for something very lightweight, visible and different from other backpacks so I could spot it easily if stolen. Also, it gave me visibility when hiking. Lots of room especially when using packing cubes. The side pockets are useless for water bottles unless you clip them to the strap. If they fall out they don't fall down. But bottles are unnecessary with the water bladder. I think the pockets are great for lightweight things. Not easy to access any pockets while wearing the pack. Couldn't figure out how to attach the trekking poles. Certainly can't access them while the pack is on. Wearing a waist pack is essential so you can access things like a phone.
Most importantly, this pack is effortless to wear. It's almost as if I'm not carrying any weight at all. The frame is rigid so it can't be shoved under a seat like a frameless pack. Hardly a decision not to buy the pack. I wish I'd bought one of these packs long ago as my back really appreciates it.
Highly recommended
