Is it an expensive mug? yeah. Do i regret buying? NO!

I work from home, and when Im zoned in, or held up in a meeting, I sometimes forget about my tea or coffee. But with this, it stays hot for ages.
An unexpected thing, that makes sense now that I own it, is that if you do leave your drink too long, it loses water content over time. Your tea or coffee then becomes concentrated and stronger. That "one sugar" coffee, suddenly tastes like a "2 sugar" coffee. So you definitely dont want to forget about your drink for too long. Theres a power button at the bottom, so maybe you can turn it off and turn it back on later to reheat. I never do that though.
The app... is nothing to rave about. It tells you the drink temp, how much battery it has, and you can change the tiny LED light's colour. It kinda clunky and slow. Just wish you could turn the mug on/off through the app, but its ok.
The charging plate/ coaster is cool. Be sure to keep it dry and clean though, especially the metal contacts. I personally keep the mug on this charger all the time, and only sometimes drink away from it. But from experience, the mug itself keeps a charge for an hour max.
As the battery ages, the battery time will fall. But thats ok with me for now. I kinda wish there were options for extra chargers or be able to use a phone wireless charger, but its fine. Theres always that risk of battery running out, so having chargers in different locations would be nice.
I like how this mug doesnt emanate heat on the outside of the mug, like normal ones. You can cup your hand around it at any time, even with fresh hot liquid inside and you will never be burnt.
The Ember mug has met my expectations, and I can only fault the price and charge options. Even years after first release of the Ember, no innovations have been made. Otherwise, Im really happy and use it everyday so far
