    英語のイントネーションを勉強するにあたって基礎知識が身に付く本です。
    ただ英文を読むことに慣れてなければ翻訳書を買ったほうがいいと思います。
    翻訳書の例文の和訳が面白かったりします。

    This book is nice and gives plenty of exercises in each unit to help you master various intonations, and the CD records beautiful standard British English. What you need to do is to listen and repeat, listen and repeat, again and again.
    Well, if the CD's titles were given more detailedly, it could be better. It is almost impossible to find out which track is for which unit on reading its track number. And there are some typos, words missing too.
    If you are not satisfied with these small things, the Japanese one might be better. (And the Japanese book has much better printings and higher quality papers. I only wish I could have more money to buy both because I am also a Japanese learner.)

    Un vrai trésor, ce manuel! Après avoir découvert "Wells" et son explication du rôle important de l'intonation dans la langue parlée, vous n'allez plus jamais écouter une personne de la même manière (dans aucune langue)....puis pouvoir corriger votre propre accent de manière efficace.

    After discovering "Wells" and his explanation of the decisive role intonation plays in spoken language, you will never ever listen to someone the same way again (no matter which language).

    very dissatisfied by the purchase in here of this book that supposed to come with a CD or Audio. The book came alone in a white back without any CD inside or anyway to get the Audio Files.
    i would have returned it if i didn't need the book urgently!
