I’ve had the opportunity to read Wendy Corners chapter and would love to offer a short review on a subject for which I have a keen interest in.

The introduction clearly set out all those personal goals we set ourselves and how we intend to get from that so called point A to point B, yet quite often we end up scratching our heads wondering why, with the best laid plans we never seem to get to point B (or so we think!)

The Author has brought a fine yet very subtle amount of humour to a subject which we sometimes question and I did find I was often having a little grin while reading.

The author has brought their own self beliefs into focus and I found them easy to resonate with. However, It did make me pause and think about how i interpret my own “scripts” or self beliefs, as well as those busy inner thoughts.

I enjoyed this short concise appraisal of why we do what we do and why we all work and are programmed in different ways. After reading this I will definitely be keen to explore more about the wonders of our minds and look further at why it is we do what we do and for what purpose.

This is a really diverse inspirational book. In fact, I don’t usually read self-help genre books but this one is refreshingly diverse.
Wendy Corner’s chapter is great - I know Wendy personally and she is just as inspirational in person as she is in her writing.
As a Christian I was very happy to see that the book has some chapters written by Christians, who are open about their faith. What is wonderful also is the diversity of authors and stories - it’s not just squeaky clean - there’s some really gritty life stories in this book; Craig Whitney’s chapter in this regard is quite significant - I hope he comes to understand the forgiveness of God, in fact, and that Jesus paid for his sins by dying on the cross - which is the only path that I know of that can wipe away guilt.
Andrew DeSouza’s chapter was interesting to me; as an unvaccinated person during Covid who made a stand I was glad to see that Andrew could appreciate the courage that it took one of his friends to resist the coercion even if he didn’t personally agree.
I enjoyed Laila’s chapter as well.
Actually I enjoyed them all and I think if you’re looking for something to read that will help you to be inspired this book might be the one.
