I was privileged to take part in Lou Tice's Investment In Excellence Programme back in 1999. His philosophy and ability to relate to things that trouble us in our personal and professional development made me wonder how did this man know me so well? That is the beauty of Lou and how he genuinely looks out for people who might be trapped in some way or another in seeking their aspirations. This book is an easy to read "bound version" of some of his curricula. I am the proud holder of a personally autographed copy which I was given upon becoming a trained facilitator of the IIE programme in 2001. I have read it over over again, never tiring of it, and use its messages in both my personal and professional life. Lou is a master at helping bring the best out of oneself. Superb read.

I have personally been a student of the late Lou Tice and in my time I find myself continually going back to his information over and over because everyday I ( as well as you ) are a brand new person, with a brand new physiologically altered brain, ready to receive and implement new knowledge. Why do we read books in the first place? To achieve and demonstrate different ways of thought, which will give you new perspective, which will alter your behaviors, and alter the way your world looks. Allow this book to be one for the ages, you'll learn the value of goal-setting, the value of commitment, and above all, you'll learn how to influence others by your way of being, and learn to connect with your potential. It lives in your and is waiting for you to breathe life into it, ready to express itself, you need not be afraid any longer, break the chemical continuity, read this book and demonstrate your greatness. Learn to personally coach yourself, you are your own mentor. You will get results, and if not, who'll care in a year? What you don't read won't help you- Jim Rohn

This is one of the best books I have read, it shows you how your self image is formed and maintained and how to change your life, whether you have the drive and determination to make the change is UP TO YOU.

The book has a tendency to wander towards religion a bit in the mentoring section, but if the reader can take this as the authors personal philosophy and work out how this might apply to the reader rather than using it as a barrier then the insight is huge

Make a start.... make a change, grow as a human being.... Read this book

I knew Lou Tice personally. I worked with him at the Pacific Institue many years ago and consider him my life mentor. Everything Lou tried to project to those around him is outlined in this book. I can't recommend it enough. Read it cover to cover over and over again and I can guaranty you will find it life changing. Lou is missed but his legacy will continue to live forever.
