I only recently discovered Nogizaka46 in 2020, and it took a concerted effort to try and learn all the members. After committing to the research and taking the deep-dive to try and learn their names, faces, and personalities, Hina Kawago rapidly rose to the top of my favorites. Always an understated and somewhat reserved member, she nonetheless exuded confidence and had a perfect sense of comedic timing.
I could write pages on her contribution to Nogizaka and why the fans love her (especially her kindness in interacting with her fanbase), but that is probably not the reason most people are visiting this page. Let's face it; Hina is a very beautiful woman whose appeal has only grown larger since her graduation. Her new direction with her own musical group Youplus, combined with her instinctive sense of style, has really seen her come into her own these last few years.
As a happy purchaser of this book, I enjoyed the reserved and seemingly almost candid shots of Hina in her home and local surroundings. Not only would her confidence make her a fixture on the fashion runways of Milan as easily as her appearances at the Tokyo Girls Collection, I've also got a feeling her first photobook will someday be considered a "must have" among fashion aficionados who are researching the beginnings of Japan's greatest models. But, don't take my word for it; follow her Instagram and Youtube and decide for yourself if she doesn't become more beautiful every day. Five stars!
