London, 1988

Young prostitute, Devlin Hunter is distraught when her best friend Roxy is found murdered, pushing her back into drug addiction. After a snuff film is uncovered depicting Roxy’s death by a masked killer, the police struggle for leads.

Devlin stumbles upon a connection between the snuff film and a local adult entertainment studio and infiltrates the company by going undercover as an actress. She tracks down those responsible and seduces each of them before exacting her brutal revenge.

However, the police are soon on her trail and it becomes a race against time to kill them before she is caught herself.

I got this book for free from a GoodReads Giveaway. This is an entertaining quick read. It is a short, fast paced, revenge thriller. There are many unbelievable and convenient situations that allow this story to come to a conclusion, but if you can look past how incredibly "lucky" the main character is, it's a decent read.

Tom Batt writes a thrilling fast-paced, short tale with Street Siren. I haven't read anything by this author before, and I enjoyed it so much, that I have now followed the author and look for more books to read. The reader is introduced to Devlin. The time is 1988 London. The reader gets to know Devlin and how she started working on the streets of London. She was a recovering addict when her friend, Roxy is killed. The worst part of the death was that it was made into a film. The police are doing their best to find Roxy's killer, but Devlin, as young and as street as she is, falls into her drug of choice again. A chance revelation, Devlin finds a lead to finding Roxy's killer. She is bent on revenge, the killer's demise. The story is endearing and heartbreaking. The author weaves a tangled web of story, and captures the reader. Whatever this author writes, I want to read. A well-written plot. The author's technique of raw, magnetic characters and great plotlines is a gift. Devlin is determined and tenacious, and definitely knows the dark side of the streets, she may be young in years, but not in street smarts. Street Siren is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews. I read this book to give my unbiased and honest review. Amy's Bookshelf Reviews recommends that anyone who reads this book, to also write a review.
