Hedge Witchcraft: A Beginner Hedge Witch’s Guide to Practicing Hedgecraft, with Herbal Magic, Hedge Riding and Trance Methods, Magical Recipes and Spells, and the Hedge Witch’s Altar and Tools Kindle Edition
Authentic Witchcraft for Spiritual Explorers
In this first-ever collaboration, best-selling author Lisa Chamberlain teams up with hedge witch Stacey Carroll for an introduction to one of the most fascinating and powerful forms of witchcraft today. Stacey is the magical creatrix behind “The Country Witch’s Cottage”. She brings plenty of personal experience with hedge witchcraft to the table, as well as a down-to-earth sensibility and an Australian perspective to a field largely dominated by writers from the Northern Hemisphere.
This book provides a working roadmap to help you build your practice, and a foundation for exploring the ever-changing and evolving path of hedge witchcraft in a modern world. You’ll find plenty of information within these pages, including:
- The historical context and basic practices of hedge witchcraft
- Ways of working with Spirit: ancestors, animal guides, elementals, familiars, and more
- Skills, tools, and methods for traveling to Otherworld (or “crossing the hedge”)
- Lore and magical uses for hedge herbs and trees
- Rituals for safe hedge crossing, communing with ancestors, and calling animal guides
- Charms and recipes of the hedge witch

About the authors
“Everything you need to start practicing Wicca, today!”
With no central, sacred text to follow, it can be difficult for an aspiring Wiccan to know where to begin. Using her many years of experience as a practitioner, Lisa dispels all the common misconceptions about this diverse religion, giving her readers the perfect foundations for taking their first steps on their Wiccan journey. There’s no agenda or bias regarding any particular practice of Wicca here: just solid information to help you carve out your own path, using the ideas that resonate with you.
Unlike other Wicca guides, Lisa’s books provide information that’s found across many Wiccan traditions, rather than coming from just one person’s perspective. In fact, she writes the kinds of books she wishes had been available when she was just starting out in the Craft all those years ago.
Whether it’s the history of Wicca, differing beliefs among practitioners, parallels between magic and modern science, or practical tips for performing Wiccan rituals and Witchcraft, Lisa's work will help you broaden your understanding of this fascinating way of life as you deepen your practice.
When not writing or experimenting with spellwork, Lisa loves to read, play piano, and spend time surrounded by nature.

I am very happy I was blessed with this book.
I love the way these books produced by and via Lisa Chamberlain are always so accessible and open and giving the background is so important and just enough information for interest but not overwhelm.
And. I especially like the invocation suggestions at the end for ancestor work.
Thank you.
