Upgrading from older deco units and boy was this a big upgrade, Wi-Fi coverage was good before but now would have to say it’s epic and at least double the speed at the outer limits of the network. The 4 lan ports are super useful if you want to extend to lan for home officer or entertainment systems, being able to use the 6ghz band for a backhaul is great too till you get some devices that need it. One strange issue is when the units are connected directly via copper they seem to drop to 100mb but if I run them through a gig switch they connect at 1000mb. Need to do a bit of testing on this but still giving the 5* as it could be my network.
App is easy to use while still giving some advanced features, not super customisable but with 60+ devices permanently connected these are solid devices.

Was shopping around for a new mesh system and the Deco BE65 3-pack cost about the same as a mid-high end 6E mesh system so gave this new WiFi7 system a go.

Set up was incredibly simple through the Deco app - from adding the main router to the completing the addition of the other two satellites took less than 15 minutes.

WiFi7 is, of course, not yet ratified and fully available at this time (Oct 2023), and I assume firmware updates next year will progressively bring in more function and maybe 6GHz signal strength.

But operating mainly 5/6/6E client devices, the Deco BE65 mesh is incredibly stable and the coverage is awesome. 3 units covered my 950 metres squared block of land easily. The 6GHz wireless backhaul option is great to have. 4K streaming at two nodes away was flawless.

The Deco app allows limited control compared to traditional router access but is quite good for managing individual client devices and troubleshooting network difficulties in real time.

Being an early adopter product, gotta be prepared for teething issues when WiFi 7 does come along next year.

Overall, great little system that is more than overkill for the average home. It offers a bit of future proofing and more functionality to come too. But if you are not reasonably tech literate, may be better off with a 6/6E mesh system.

Setup was easy, the app is great, functional and sturdy. Has some security memberships stuff built in but it seems to be only needed if you have kids and want to nanny them, no essential functions appear to be paywalled. The range and features of the BE1100 is the easily the best mesh/wifi/router I have every tried and I have had quite a few (Asus, Netgear, Dlink, Cisco, other TPlinks etc.). The range is good and the stability is flawless. One comment I would make, these things get pretty warm to the touch from normal operation, much warmer than other units I have tried in the past, might be an issue down the track if you plan on placing them in cupboards.

Stylish router, easy to set up with the app, and easy to control. It doesn’t come with a lot of Ethernet ports, but realistically I guess you don’t really need many of them either. Also nice to know you can extend your mesh with items from the same range

I don’t see anyway to contact the seller about this problem.
I bought the router on Amazon.coom.au but the router came with a European power brick.
Luckily I’ve got a universal adapter to be able to test the router works at least.
It’s less than ideal solution. The universal adapter is janky as hell and doesn’t fit on a standard socket due to the power switch.
So I’ve got to use a cheap ass power board with no switches, into a crappy universal adapter to turn this thing on.
Why didn’t you send me an Australian power brick?
2 stars because at least the device turns on.

Price is a little steep, however the price did justify the difference between my old modem, which was also a TP-Link, but in saying that they are the cheapest WIFI 7 out in the market, Does everything I need, plus more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Be65👌 fritzbox 👎

If you have 80 m² and have the opportunity to put it in the center in apartments, then one be65 piece is enough for you. I have two be65. Therefore, I have a ping from 4 to 7 throughout the apartment. Speed 930mb/s download 510mb/s upload (operator 1000mb/s D, 500mb/s U) also all corners of the apartment. That is, the wires will not give any advantage!! FASTER THAN fritzbox and range. When the networks are loaded (in the evening) speed is more stable than fritzbox. And in my subjective opinion, it is healthier than fritzbox - because the faster everything works, the exposure time is shorter. I think fritzbox has a monopoly in Luxembourg, the operator does not want to configure routers from other manufacturers. In addition, these are backward technologies (for example, Wi-Fi 6 appeared in post.lu not long ago (1 YEAR) and they are proud of it, even though Wi-Fi 7 is already available). I didn’t even set up MLO on Wi-Fi 7 especially. Doesn’t work on older devices, however, everything is faster with Wi-Fi 6 on deco be65.

Astonishing speed, easy management through the app, automated firmware updates. I am fully satisfied with it!

If you need 10G connection, you might want to buy a single 10G capable node in addition to the 2G node(s) instead of buying a 10G set. If you only have a single 10G distribution point in your home one 10G node should be enough.

4.0 out of 5 stars Schnelle Datenübertragung, gutes Netz im Haus auf 2 Etagen, Einrichtung als Access Point unlogisch
Reviewed in Germany on 9 February 2024
Style Name: Wi-Fi 7 BE11000 4 x 2.5G PortSize Name: 3-PackVerified Purchase
