Good investment
I get cold easily and especially when the humidity level in my room is high then it’s uncomfortable for me to sleep. This machine helps greatly. I can feel the difference after 15-20 minutes of having it on. There was an unpleasant odour when I first turned on the machine but it was gone after 6-7 hours. Probably don’t put it in your bedroom the first night and also beware, this machine is loud. If you’re okay with white noise then you probably won’t mind it, but I do find the sound slightly annoying so I only have it on for 1-2 hours before going to bed.

    Fantastic dehumidifier and very happy with the purchase. It's currently running to control humidity in a large fish room that is 8m x 7m with 2.4m ceiling. Runs easily on low setting without even trying. Setup for continuous hose drainage by mounting to a shelf 1.5ft up off the floor and ta 3m hose running down to the shower drain in the attached bathroom. So quiet even when it's on high speed. It even heats the room enough that it has negated our need to individually heat 12x 3ft and larger aquariums, so had saved us a LOT of money so far this winter. The controls all work as they should, and the timer funtion is unexpectedly very handy. We highly recommend this if you're considering purchasing. Can vouch for the fact that it will also dry laundry on a clothes airer very quickly if needed, and has saved us using the dryer a handful of times as well. 5* product worth every penny!

    We purchased the product after hitting some substantial condensation and mould growth problems in our bedroom because Australian units are a total windowless nightmare.

    We usually run this in the bedroom at the evenings during showers and laundry. And leave it running in the living room throughout the night.

    I also purchased a couple of hygrometer sensors to monitor humidity levels in the rooms. Without the humidifier, humidity levels reach 90% (at 20c) when taking a shower or having the dryer on.

    Turning the humidifier in the bedroom/shower for about 30-60 minutes will dramatically drop the humidity to 50%. Sadly, due to the outside humidity, it will start rising up as soon as the dehumidifier is stopped. But that's just the problem with Aussie building standards.

    Ideally, we would want to run this device in our bedroom through the night on low power, but our electrical sockets have weird EMI issues during the nights and the device emits loud noises. This isn't the device's fault. as we have the same issue with other electrical devices in the house. So instead, we just place it in the living room throughout the night and set it on high.

    This seems to be enough to keep the humidity levels in the unit at around 60%. A bit high, but the device is only rated for 50m². So it copes well overall and stops any condensation issues we had. And every morning we find it collected about 3L of water.

    Price wise, it is a bit too expensive - I would give it 3.5 stars if I could. The overall feeling of the device is more in the $200 to $300 range. There is nothing fancy here. The electronics and controls are quite basic and f you look online at what is going inside of a Desiccant Dehumidifier you'll see it is a very basic technology.

    Overall, if you have a mould problem in Sydney's humid winter, this is a must device.

    We considered cheaper portable dehumidifier ($100+, ones that can be placed on countertops etc), read their reviews and realised that this Ausclimate desiccant is worth the investment with the amazing reviews for it. Sure, it can be pricey at full price, but we got it on Amazon Prime day and paid $330 for it. We figured it's better to buy quality the first time than to pay more when it doesn't work as expected.

    The reviews doesn't lie. It really works and it's extremely efficient. We have a persisting high humidity in our house which caused the doors to stick and hard to open/close them during winter months over the years. Our humidity levels were around 75%, which is very high and encourages mould growth. Within an hour or so of operating it at high setting, the humidity in one of the bedrooms dropped significantly to 40% with about 1 liter of water collected!

    We love the auto function as it will maintain humidity to around 50%, and if the humidity is higher than normal, it will run at high fan setting and changes to a low fan when it reaches that level.

    It can get a bit loud on high, but it also means it will achieve the humidity you want in a short period of time. We haven't tried the laundry mode, but so far it's been an amazing device! Well worth the investment!!

    Removes litres of water from damp furnishings and ceiling/walls in a room that had a small leak into the ceiling cavity. The whole house has also become damper due to the constant rain over the last 6 months or more. The leak is fixed and the Ausclimate Cool Seasons Premium 10L Desiccant Dehumidifier is doing a great job of removing the residual damp from the room. As soon as its finished in this room it will be used in other rooms to make sure they are at the optimal humidity. Much smaller and quieter than expected. Easy to use, empty the water container and to move around. This was the top rated dessicant dehumidifier on Choice for cooler climates and I am very happy with my purchase and impressed with this unit.
