Uses very strange thread size. Not US (NPT) or AU/UK (BSP)

Uses very strange thread size. Not US (NPT) or AU/UK (BSP)
My second attempt at trying this brand of bidet (but different model number than previous). The hose supplied was way to short. My problem was finding an extension hose to match. The thread size was a really weird size. It wasn't BSP, nor NPT. I took it to FIVE plumbing supplies store and they couldn't even tell what it was. Finally I went to an industrial supply store who managed to make me a threaded brass pipe that fit that weird thread size. I think they guessed that it may have been an odd-ball Chinese standard. In any case, they made me a custom threaded rod that fit everything, but it leaked so bad at both ends, I just had enough. I used lots of Teflon tape on the leaking ends, but it never sealed fully. Anyway, this custom pipe cost me $54, and at this point, I took my losses and returned the bidet. I don't mind running around and getting adapters that are easy to find to make things work, but my only advice is give yourself a time imit of finding adapters that work. If you can't find what you need right away, cut your losses and try a different bidet. (On a side note, I did get another bidet that finally worked almost straight out the box. I just needed an extension hose and diverter valve, both of which were standard stuff sold at Bunnings (Home Depot. This is the bidet that worked with a few "common" adapters:https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B00P2XZIP2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1).

All components were provided and it installed without a problem to standard Australian toilet plumbing fittings. Performs far better than expected for both front and rear washing. Very happy overall.

I have never installed plumbing in my life and it was incredibly simple. The only tools needed were a screwdriver and a monkey wrench. The hardest part was getting my toilet seat off of the toilet due to rusty old bolts and nuts.

It's good for a few months but it's impossible to clean without completely reinstalling it each time. It will most certainly collect fluids within the seals and release a terrible smell in your toilet. After a few months we had to throw it away.

This seems like a good idea until you put the seat back on and find that it really does not fit well at all. It puts all of a persons weight into the front on the seat, risking breakage, bending and injury. It is not comfortable to sit when there is a 5-10 degree incline on the seat as a result.
