I bought three TP-Link XE75 nods and had to buy a fourth nod (I bought a cheaper model for the fourth) one to reach my shed.

I live in an inner city, residential area, single story, three-bedroom house, so I expected three nodes would be sufficient to work through an aluminium shed located 8 metres away from the next node in the house. I did my research and was confident it would.

In addition to this, I bought a UK import, which TP-Link were selling on Amazon Australia.
I understand that overseas imports differ from local models, in saying that, three nodes cost close to $600 dollars, which is ridiculous for what you are getting.

TP-Link supplied me with a UK cord for each of the nodes.

Tp-Link should have changed the cords over to Australian cords as they were selling to the Australian market. I have been using an adaptor which is a pain because the AC/DC power cord is already huge and if I want to replace them, it will cost in excess of $30 for each one.

I recently bought a computer from America, through Amazon Australia and they supplied the appropriate Australian cords. Not good enough TP-Link

Don't bother getting the top-of-the-line TP-link nodes, it doesn't make any difference.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, rock solid and quick

Only problem, which I saw on reviews was if using with a sky mini box. Just renamed the sky Wi-Fi box and used that just for my Sky boxes, then set these devices to the old sky name & password (save changing everything). Been rock solid since.
3 units, one in the garage, strong coverage everywhere including in the garden.

4.0 out of 5 stars *UPDATE* BT and DECO WARNING - XE75
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 October 2023

*UPDATE*
It's been two days and everything has stayed connected. By luck or judgement. I've read before that new networks can need time to "settle", but never really understood the logic behind that, however it seems to be the case here. Luckily I had Ethernet ports plumbed in around the house from new, so have Ethernet cables connecting the units. I'm getting blistering speeds all over the house now, close to the speeds I'm playing BT for, which is just sublime. The app is still a bit ropey, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the system stays reliable (I really hope so, as I love seeing the speed checker results!)
*End of UPDATE*

After another dropped connection in Teams, I decided I had to change from the BT super hub 2. That unit, when hardwired to the modem, and when sat next to it, gave a great signal, but dropped significantly as you went further away. I went for the XE75 WiFi 6e mesh 3 pack. My main unit is connected to the fibre modem. The BT super hub was up for 2 years, no drops. The decos have been up for a day, and have dropped 30 times. The app is connecting to the cloud somewhere, and loses the deco units regularly. I don't know what the problem is, am trying to test, but with constantly dropping off the network, it's hard to change settings on it. I've read elsewhere that IPV6 can cause problems with BT, so I've turned that feature off inside the deco app. Why I'd have to do that on a system worth over £300 is beyond me. When it was up and running, I was getting excellent speeds throughout the house, which makes the unreliability that much worse to bear. I had looked on BTs forum, and there are quite a few posts about these units and the BT network. I'd followed blindly a couple of suggestions there, and finally had the 3 units up and running, great speeds everywhere and went to sleep happy. Woke up, noticed my phone was no longer connected to the WiFi. Opened the deco app to be met with "couldn't find your deco"..blah blah blah. Heartbroken after hours of trying to set up (as I say, made more difficult when it kicks you off the network/you can't connect to it). Going to give it one more day with IPv6 turned off, see if that may be causing the issue. The reviews you see on Amazon are for several different models, and a lot of people are having great experiences with Virgin media as the provider. Not sure if I am unlucky with the combo of my model and ISP (I suspect not), whether it's BT not playing nice with the decos, or the decos not playing nice with BT. Not sure if it's because I turned on Fast Roaming or not. Not sure if it's because I'd turned on IPv6 or not (I had ipv6 on the BT super hub for 2 years, no trouble at all), so I'm thinking it's these Deco units.

4.0 out of 5 stars Connection keeps dropping off!

First of all setup is great and very easy. However, the connection keeps dropping, not sure because I have combination of M5 units connected in the network. For the value you would expect the connection to be stable. But deco now has made security a paid service which is another blow to the consumer.

Our house is coming up to 200 years old and two thousand Sq Ft. Even the internal walls are over a metre thick in places. This means that Wifi is a challenge. We recently bought a Starlink system to replace the old slow copper internet provided by Zen via Openreach. From 10Mbs to over 200Mbs - incredibly happy. But the Eero mesh wifi system with 8 nodes was still poor and unreliable. In fairness we have more than 65 devices online so I wasn't sure anything could handle this perfectly.
After some research, we decided on the TP-Link Deco XE75 AXE5400 Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi 6E. What a good decision. The Deco app is beautifully laid out and setting up the system was simplicity and took no time at all. After setting it up with the same network name and password as the old Eero everything worked immediately. The Eero had 8 nodes and the Deco just three but the WiFi speed and strength covers everywhere in the house. One bedroom is slightly slower but still faster than the old system. I could not be more impressed with the Deco and just wish I had bought it sooner.
We do have a summerhouse which I have cabled with Ethernet and adding a TP-Link RE330 AC1200 Mesh Wi-Fi Extender set up in AP Mode has given us fast WiFi again in the garden using the same network name and password. This isn't the cheapest Mesh product but if you are struggling with poor WiFi I would suggest you try this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Some setup tips
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 January 2024

Finally managed to set it up direct connection to ONT after an hour and half struggle - my mistake, got the ISP username wrong!. Once corrected, setup was a walk in the park! Extremely important to use your existing SSID and password (case sensitive). I also changed the Router ip Address to my previous router one as well.

Initially my Apple devices would not connect for some reason. I let the connections on it's own for an hour or so. Slowly all my existing devices connected automatically including the Apple ones. For some reason, I had to "soft" reset the Amazon Echo devices and the Ring indoor devices.

You should note the MAC addresses of Devices as in your current router. Deco picks them up but some had strange names and I could identify them from MAC addresses. The green light on the 3 Echo devices are bright for me but you can turn these off or use a timer (in the settings) to turn them off say, at night.

Swapped over from Netgear Orbi and so far, very satisfied.
